To quilters, True Blue means indigo, Australian, denim, authentic, that quintessential Aussie canine – the blue heeler, and much more. What does it mean to you?
The annual AQC Challenge is a themed competition open to all. Quilts must be a certain size and show interpretation of the theme – in 2015 the theme is ‘True Blue’. This year’s entries were received from around Australia and New Zealand, and due to the very high standards, the judges also awarded two Honorable Mention prizes.
Congratulations to the winners, announced at AQC 2015:
Winner: True Blue Jacko by Jeannie Henry, QLD
Runner Up: Really True Blue by Jan Clark, NSW
Honorable Mention: Beginning True by Sue de Vanny, VIC; True Blue Mates by Yvonne Chapman, WA
Viewers’ Choice: True Blue Mates by Yvonne Chapman, WA
